Welcome!

Well done you. You're taking a courageous step by seeking support. Counselling and psychotherapy can help with issues like depression, relationship difficulties, grief, medical diagnoses and anxiety.

With 30 years of experience in support and pastoral care, in university and church settings, and most recently in a hospice, I'm here for you, to listen to your story, and help you to piece together your life and help you to thrive.

Ways in which I can support you

I provide two different types of therapy:

Counselling

Focuses on a specific issue, or perhaps more than one issue, that is proving problematic. Sessions which will be one hour, can last from 6 to 20 weeks, depending on how often we choose to meet.

Psychotherapy

Typically a longer process that delves deeper into limiting core beliefs, ingrained patterns of thinking and behaviour and/or emotional issues relating to trauma.  Sessions may take more than 20 weeks.

Booking a Session

1

Intro Call

This is a 20 minute call by phone or via Teams or Zoom. This will help you to determine if I am the right counsellor for you. It's also an opportunity for you to share a little of your story and what is troubling you.

2

Getting Started

If we agree to work together, I will then email you my Counselling Agreement and confirmation of the dates and time of our sessions. Once you confirm these, our meetings can begin.

3

Review and Endings

As time moves on, we will periodically review our work together and decide when it feels right to conclude our sessions. There's no requirement to end before you feel you are ready to do so.
